Dan Potts was a man of immense moral conviction that was liberally demonstrated through a life without compromise. He did not compromise his faith in God, his love for his country, his love and dedication to his family, nor his love and dedication to his friends.

Dan was the best man I ever knew.

Doc, Your kindness and generosity in helping us bear the expense of Dan’s funeral was greatly appreciated!
I still think of you as well as the rest of the Navy Seal group. I miss the get togethers and seeing the familiar faces at each party. Will there be a gathering any time soon? If yes, please let me know when and where. I asked Chris Nicola to keep me on the list and he said he would but I have not had even one email. Have there been any get togethers?
I have attached some photos from Thanksgiving. We relaxed and enjoyed it with family this year. (Ate too much, too!)
Anyway, you and LouLou have a Blessed Holiday Season and enjoy those grandkids, too!
Most of all, I want to thank you for remembering me and keeping in touch. I truly appreciate this.
Your Friend, Janet Potts
Doc Riojas NOTE: It was the least I could do for Dan’s family, pay for his cremation and the Hearst Rental service to their Church. Dan ALWAYs, called me many times to remind me of all our SEAL get togethers. At night, he would park my car and at the end, bring it back to me. That is Respect for his elderly teamate!
HooYah ! Dan ! Rest in Peace !
It was an honor to be able to provide this website in honor of Dan Potts.
My love and respect !

Words are simply not enough on this one.Dan was a dear friend to all Frogmen as well as our immediate family here in Austin.Am currently out of CONUS on assignment that Dan was directly responsible for linking me up with.He was solid as a brick and there when you needed him.An infectious smile and quick joke he was a quintessential old school Frog and friend all.May the Lord Bless and keep him and hold Janet and the kids in the hollow of his hand. Godspeed Brotehr ….Godpseed!! Lish Morgan Class # 66 and 129 UDT Eleven,SEAL One and SEAL Four
